Boundaries are magnificent and these that you have set seem to be anchored in concrete. I absolutely love this. I wish I could find the gate to my garden, it's been overgrown and I can't remember where I built it. I need to get a drone and then I can look for it from above.

or just get a machete and go on an adventure.. ;)

machetes are old school an drones are cool and this way the damage I have to inflict is minimmal

I love how perfectly you explain the… what… the logic of maturity. Something like that.

I love this, and I FOUND IT TOO. Grew it in the soil of my exhaustion and illness, and my hands are full of it. 💚

It’s time to free our hands and dig in the dirt of our own making. let the world be the world. and close the gate when we need. 🤍

This entire article felt like an exhale to read.

I hope to someday be in that same spot.

It's a journey. Some days I arrive, other days I abandon myself.

I hope to meet you in the garden someday.

"Being a skimmed book" is such a powerful image. I think so many of us spend years explaining ourselves when what we really need is the courage to become quiet enough to hear our own voice again. Your piece gave me a lot to think about. Thank you for writing it.

Thank you, Audrey! I am glad you were able to get some bits out that made you think. 🤍🤍🤍

The part about keeping the inner rooms clear enough to hear your own soul is where I stopped. Mine have been so full of noise for so long that the soul has had to be very patient. 30 years of practice to get here… I am reading this from somewhere much earlier on that road, but the garden gate image is the one I am going to hold onto. Not a wall. A gate that you decide when swings open. I hope to write something like this someday from the other side of it 🙌🫶🏻
